2021 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX INCREASE

A tax rate of $0.550764 per $100 valuation has been proposed by the governing body of City of La Marque.

The proposed tax rate is greater than the no-new-revenue tax rate. This means that City of La Marque is proposing to increase property taxes for the 2021 tax year. Public hearings on the proposed tax rate will be held on August 16, 2021 and August 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm at 1109-B Bayou Road, La Marque, Texas.

A district's property tax rate consists of a maintenance and operations (M&O) tax rate and, if applicable, an interest and sinking (I&S) tax rate. The M&O tax rate provides funds for maintenance and operations. The I&S tax rate provides funds for payments on debts.
